Hampton School District Announces Annual Meeting Dates


Hampton, NH (January 3, 2024) - The Hampton School District has announced a series of
events and dates related to the 2024 Annual School District Meeting.


The Hampton Budget Committee Public Hearing on the Budget (School & Town) will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024, in the Hampton Town Hall at 6:00pm.


The First Session of the Annual Meeting, called the Deliberative Session, will be Monday,
February 5, 2024, with a snow date of February 7, 2024, in the Auditorium of Hampton
Academy at 7:00pm. At that meeting, registered voters of Hampton will consider the posted
Warrant for the Annual Meeting.


The Second Session of the Annual Meeting, the traditional Voting Day, will be Tuesday, March
12, 2024. Voting in Hampton will be at Winnacunnet High School Dining Hall; polls will open at
7:00am to 8:00pm. Absentee ballots may be obtained from the Town Clerk’s office at Hampton
Town Hall during regular office hours as late as Monday March 11, 2024.


The Hampton School District will vote on two elected school board positions, one elected school district moderator, one elected school district clerk, and one elected school district treasurer, all with a three-year term expiring 2027. Candidates must file a declaration of candidacy with the Town Clerk’s office at Hampton Town Hall beginning Wednesday, January 24, 2024. The filing period ends at 5:00pm on Friday, February 2, 2024.


The Warrant for the Annual Meeting will be posted by January 29, 2024, at the Town Hall, Lane
Library and the Hampton Schools. The Warrant and supporting materials and information
detailing the proposed operating budget and proposed warrant articles will also be posted on
the sau90.org website.
