Weekly Update

June 9, 2023

Dear SAU 90 Staff and Families,

At this time of year there are many celebrations and opportunities for our community to come together on behalf of our students.  These past weeks, Marston had their Celebration of Learning/Grade 5 Play, “Food Fight,” and Grade 2-3 Information Night. Centre hosted their concerts and Field Day. Hampton Academy held their band and chorus concerts this week as well. We are so proud of our students, their successes, and their learning this year.

Next week is the last week of school for our students.  During this time, there will be many events and activities to culminate our school year.  Two very important traditions that we will continue are our Fifth Grade Farewell Assembly and our Eighth Grade Final Assembly.  You should be hearing from your child’s principal regarding these two milestone events.  Additionally, yearbooks will be available to our students.  These will be will delivered to those families who pre-ordered them.  They will serve as a wonderful keepsake of our time together commemorating the school year.

We kindly ask that all students and staff with outstanding balances with Food Services to settle their accounts prior to June 16. If you are in need of financial assistance, we ask that you reach out to our Director of Food Services, Mrs. Borg at 603-926-9826 or our School Social Worker, Mrs. Fixler at 603-858-9810.

The Facilities Department is still seeking summer hires.  If you or any family members has any interest, please reach out Mr. Lessard at 603-926-8708.  The hours are Monday through Friday, 7 AM – 3:30 PM with a payrate of $15.00/hour.  The hours are flexible and anyone 16 years and older is encouraged to apply.  This could be the perfect summer job for any college students returning home for the summer break!

All student chromebooks will be returned prior to the last day of school.  If any are needed for the summer program, students will be assigned a loaner if needed.  We ask that this technology be returned in good working condition with its charger.  As per the computer user policy, students are responsible for their safe return. Classroom/homeroom teachers will be collecting these.  Along those lines, we ask that all students and staff return any books and materials to their respective school libraries.

Tonight, is the Winnacunnet High School graduation.  This event is hosted by SAU 21, and I look forward to representing our district at this community event.  We know that many of our former students will be moving on afterwards.  We wish to congratulate all of our Hampton families with graduating seniors.  To all of our WHS graduates -best wishes!  Remember graduates, you have left an impression on all of us and we cannot wait to see what you will accomplish next! And yes, we will be watching ☺

Wishing you a great weekend ahead,

Proudly, Dr. Lois B. Costa

Superintendent of SAU 90
