Hampton School District

October 17, 2025

Dear SAU 90 Staff and Families,

This week, I had the privilege of visiting Hampton Academy, where staff are diligently working to reinforce “The Academy Way,” our core expectations for student success centered on self-management, responsibility, and respect. This focus on a positive and consistent learning environment is being supported at the district level through the development of a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTTS-b) framework. Members of the leadership team attended training at the Department of Education in Concord this past Thursday to ensure we establish a comprehensive, system-wide approach to promoting student wellness and academic success.

As October is National Bullying Prevention Month, our schools have intensified their focus on this critical issue. We are addressing this through the implementation of specific prevention rules, targeted lessons, and activities designed to foster prosocial behaviors and reduce instances of bullying. We view our work with families as essential to ensuring the safety and well-being of every student; please do not hesitate to reach out to your school if we can provide any support to your child or family.

Finally, we are pleased to attach two valuable resources to this correspondence: the fall newsletter from the nurses and the Living Well Fall Series currently offered by the YMCA in Exeter.

In partnership,

Dr. Lois B. Costa

Superintendent of Schools
