Dear SAU 90 Staff and Families,
Thank you to everyone who joined the holiday parade last weekend. Whether you walked or watched from the sidelines, we were glad to celebrate the start of the season together. If your family needs support during the holidays, please contact our School Outreach Worker, Ms. Emily Fixler, at efixler@sau90.org. She is partnering with local agencies to assist families in need.
As a reminder, under policy GBCD, all employees and designated volunteers must complete fingerprinting and a background check under RSA 189:13-a. Designated volunteers include anyone over 18 who regularly works with students, meets with students individually, or has been identified by the School Board or Superintendent. We are reviewing how often these checks must be renewed and will provide an update soon. Schedule an appointment for fingerprints, as results can take 2-3 weeks to be received.
Report cards for the first trimester are now available in ALMA. If you need help accessing the portal, please contact Tim Smith, Director of Technology, at tsmith@sau90.org. Families are encouraged to reach out to their schools with any questions about student progress. We value our partnership with parents in supporting student success.
This has been a festive week across the district. Our middle school band, under Mrs. Guay’s direction, performed on Monday evening, and our first graders presented their holiday concert on Wednesday under Mrs. Mallett’s leadership. Thank you to our staff and students for these wonderful events that bring our community together. Next Wednesday, Marston School will present the fifth-grade play at Hampton Academy, and we look forward to another great gathering.
Wishing everyone a joyful weekend ahead.
Warmly,
Dr. Lois Costa
Superintendent of SAU 90
