Dear SAU 90 Staff and Families,
Where has the time gone? It is so hard to believe that we are on the final stretch of the school year with less than three weeks until we release our school community into the leisurely pace of summer! It will be important to maintain routines in the coming days given the many events that happen at this time of the year. Consistency and clear expectations help everyone to thrive when there are so many daily changes. We know these days can be very exciting, but also very busy. Please remind your children to eat a healthy breakfast, get a good night’s sleep, and to do their best each day so that we can all finish the year on a high note. Additionally, we ask that all our adults be extra-kind to themselves during this time of year. There is so much going on, and juggling everything can feel overwhelming. Take it one day at a time and remember to take care of yourselves! If we can help you in any way, please be sure to reach out to us.
Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to participate in the Extended Learning Opportunity (ELO) Expo at Winnacunnet High School. The Expo allows for students to connect with the community, practice their presentation skills and celebrate learning and hard work. These ELO’s internships provide our high school students with the opportunity to participate in an internship in a career as part of exploring pathways beyond high school.
On Thursday, the Hampton Historical Society hosted a Save Our Sanford event where the Professional Fire Fighters of Hampton L-2664 is hoping to save a piece of fire history, a 1923 REO Sanford Pumper. This will require an addition to the building. To participate in fundraising efforts, please view these opportunities.
On May 12, our Hampton PTA held their final meeting of the school year. We would like to thank our parents and staff who have stepped up to the plate to assist us with these positions. We are grateful and appreciative of your commitment to our children and schools. Special thanks to our outgoing board members! To that end, the PTA is hosting a color fun run this weekend on Sunday, May 31 from 11 AM – 2:00 PM. For more information, please view this flyer.
The Girls on the Run (GOTR) Teams will participate in their 5K race tomorrow morning at Memorial Field in Concord. We wish them all the best as they cross the finish line and complete the program! Special thanks to all our coaches for supporting and helping to sustain this program. We could not do it without you!
On Thursday, June 3 from 3- 4 PM, we will have a celebration of our retirees at the SAU 90 Conference Room. You are welcome to join us as we honor our retirees, Centre School Principal’s Secretary, Melanie Leibenow; Marston School Media Specialist, Alison Griffin; and SAU90 Food Service Director, Mary Borg.
Wishing you a great weekend ahead,
Proudly,
Dr. Lois B. Costa
Superintendent of SAU 90
