Dear SAU 90 Staff and Families,
This week and next, schools are hosting parent conferences. We look forward to partnering with families in their child's education.
At last Tuesday's School Board Meeting, Friends of Hampton Schools presented their upcoming fundraiser, aimed at enhancing student resources in academics, arts, athletics, and extracurriculars. Please see the attached flyer for details.
After extensive review, our School Board has completed the 2026-2027 budget. Our leadership team examined 175 budget line items, prioritizing cost control amidst economic challenges. The proposed budget reflects a 1.24% increase over the default budget, primarily due to rising costs in special education, transportation, and health care. We are committed to attracting and retaining quality staff, including substitutes. The default budget increase largely stems from approved contracts for professional and support staff. We will present this to the town’s budget committee on December 11 at 6:00 PM at Town Hall. Elections are set for Tuesday, March 10.
Please note that there will be no school from November 26 to November 28 for the Thanksgiving holiday; classes resume on December 1. As we approach this holiday, let's take a moment to appreciate our schools, families, students, staff, and the supportive community we share.
