Superintendent Weekly Newsletter

November 7, 2025

Dear SAU 90 Staff and Families,

Key Dates and Reminders

  • No School: There will be no school this Tuesday, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day.

  • Veterans Day Honors: The district observed this federal holiday by honoring military veterans of the United States Armed Forces with traditional assemblies and celebrations this past week. The school partners with the American Legion Post 35 in Hampton and Commander Berk Bennett for these activities.

  • Snow Day Policy: The school board supports snow days. The current calendar includes three built-in snow days.

  • Delay/Closure Communication: All school delays and closures will be communicated through the messaging system. Please ensure your contact information is up to date by contacting your child's school or stopping by the office during parent conferences.

Employment Opportunities

SAU 90 is actively seeking substitutes/guest teachers and custodians.

  • Substitute Teacher (Application): $17.14/hour

  • Para Educator Substitute (Application): $15/hour

  • Flexibility: The district offers very flexible schedules, and encourages anyone with availability and a love for children to apply.

Holiday Support Resources

  • As the holiday season begins, Outreach Worker Emily Fixler is available to assist families with community resources.

  • She can be reached at efixler@sau90.org or 603-926-2000 x726. The goal is to ensure everyone has a happy holiday.

Remember to thank a veteran over the week ahead!

Warmly,

Dr. Lois B. Costa
